A native of Lancaster, South
Carolina, Dr. Jennifer Turner graduated from the University of South
Carolina where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry
and earned her dental degree from the Medical University of South
Carolina. Dr. Jennifer continued her studies at the Medical
College of Georgia and the MCG Children’s Medical Center, where she
completed her pediatric dental residency. During that time, she served
as chief resident.
As a pediatric dental resident,
Dr. Jennifer received advanced training in comprehensive dental care
for infants, children, teens, and individuals with special health care
needs. She is also trained in oral conscious sedation and hospital
dentistry. Dr. Jennifer is licensed to practice dentistry in Georgia
and South Carolina, and serves as a part-time faculty member at the
Medical College of Georgia-Department of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr.
Jennifer is also on the medical staff at Self Regional Healthcare in
Greenwood, SC.
Dr. Jennifer is a member of the
American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry,
Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentists, American Academy of
Pediatrics, South Carolina Dental Association and local dental study
clubs. Dr. Jennifer is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric
Dentistry. The ABPD certifies pediatric dentists based on standards of
excellence that lead to high quality oral health care for infants,
children, adolescents, and patients with special needs.
Dr. Jennifer moved to Greenwood
in 2005. When she recognized the need for a pediatric dentist in her
own community, she opened her pediatric dental office in 2007. Very
active in the community, Dr. Jennifer and her team orchestrate “Give
Kids A Smile” day at her office and coordinate events for National
Children’s Dental Health Month in her local dental district every
February.
Dr. Jennifer's new office is
equipped with state of the art equipment, including digital x-rays and
computer imaging. As a board certified pediatric dentist, Dr. Jennifer
is committed to providing high quality dental care for children in a
fun, friendly and compassionate atmosphere. In her leisure time, Dr.
Jennifer enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, John,
and their precious two year old daughter, Margaret.
